So what the heck is this all about?13 Lisa's is a extremely limited edition t-shirt company. 13 Lisa's is a pink fluffy monster created by designer Joseph Gonzalez a.k.a. Miracletwentyone. Joseph's love for t-shirt design has come full circle with the launch of 13 Lisa's. His first exposure to design was through his father's skill screening business more than 2o years ago. It's about community, being apart of an exclusive small "secret society" like community based upon the ideas and philosophies of 13 Lisa's. Purchasing a tee is the key into this dysfunctional club. Think about it...Only 12 other people in the world will own the same design t-shirt as the one you purchase. That's pretty powerful.

A bakers dozen is made up of 13 items, and who doesn't like on extra of something, that is one part of the idea of the name. But Johnny Cupcakes is using the whole "bakers" theme, so it moved in another direction. The second half of the name is my wonderful, lovely and supporting wife - Lisa. As many of us know, women can have multiple personalities, moods and emotions. The overall idea of 13 people in one body isn't so extreme now a days, (shoe flies by // person ducks). 13 is also sum of 21 minus 8, 21 being Joe's sons birthday and 8 being his other.

What's Redbubble? Redbubble is a online community of artist. The site allows these artist to sell their art on t-shirts, as prints or calendars. There are many advantages to have Redbubble fulfill 13 Lisa's orders. One the quality of the shirts are incredible. All tees are print on only American Apparel t-shirts, the industry leader in retail garments.

"The greatest breakthrough of the last decade was when American Apparel turned the fit of a T-shirt into a message...The message was you—your body thrust out there into the world, shrink-wrapped in every conceivable color."
- New York Magazine

What's with the mocked up shirts, lets see the real deal. You might be asking yourself that question. The shirts are mocked up to preserve the use of an actual tee that someone else could actually by. If we took one of the precious 13 tees that would take away from the amount of shirts we could offer. As people buy our tees we would like to replace the images with the people who actually own the shirts.
